The Raven Chronicles is a cycle of stories about the descendent of a Native American Shaman whose magic covers millennia. I've written a prequel to introduce the series a bit farther back in Jake's past as this series has become something of a meta novel with an ongoing story that chronicles half-Haida archaeologist Jake Lalonde's ascent to (or descent?) into shamanism as he struggles with contemporary life and his heritage. In the prequel he gets the first clues to his cryptic heritage when the abduction of children from a small Vancouver Island town brings the myth of an ancient cannibal demon to life. So begins Jake's spirit quest which to date includes: THE RAVEN'S POOL, WHITE RAVEN, RAVENSTONE, and RAVEN'S BLOOD, as he searches for the origins of his totem crest. The prequel is slated for release in late Fall just in time for Christmas!
