Just One Damned Thing After Another - The Sequel

Well, today I sent off the sequel - A Symphony of Angels. It's done. Complete. Finished.

For the time being.

I had no idea that finally letting it go would be so difficult. My finger hovered over the 'send' key for several minutes. At one point I got up and made a cup of tea. At another point I actually contemplated cleaning the oven.

I think I sent my offspring to school with less mental anguish than despatching one manuscript. Doesn't say much for my parenting skills, does it?

Anyway, Accent Press have given me 2nd January as a provisional publishing date and Just One Damned Thing After Another is being reissued as a paperback this coming September.

Check out my publishers, Accent Press, on their 'coming soon' page.

In the meantime, of course, I draw a deep breath, put the kettle on and get to grips with number three - A Second Chance.

Allyson Having finished One Damned Thing a few moments ago, I feel bereft. I want to go across the pond, find St. Mary's and beg them to take me in.

Jodi Taylor I visited my publishers, Accent Press, earlier this week and in between being distracted by a good lunch and having my photograph taken, I agreed to a revised deadline for the sequel. It's now around the end of November.
No idea how this happened and I'm saddened that I can be so easily bought!
Note to self - beware publishers bearing gifts!

Jodi Taylor Firstly, thanks to everyone who has contacted me to say how much they enjoyed Just One Damned Thing After Another.
As a first time author, I can't say how much I appreciate such encouragement. Especially at two in the morning as I stare helplessly at my computer screen and wonder how on earth I'm going to save Max and Co this time. It would really be quite helpful if I could plan ahead occasionally ...
At the moment, they're all at Troy - in the thick of things - the city is in flames and the Greeks are pouring up the beach. It's definitely not looking good. Well up the proverbial creek and not a paddle in sight.
And it will get worse.
Anyway, that's for Book 3, tentatively entitled 'A Second Chance.' I'm over half way through and I have to say, it's going quite well. So far.
I'm also working on a short St Mary's story for Christmas in which Mrs Partridge, as the ghost of Christmases Past, Present and Future plays a not inconsiderable part. And maybe someone unexpected turns up from the past.
I'll see how it goes ...
