We had a lovely rain here in the New Mexico mountains yesterday. Our soil, that is usually pinkish dust, turned a lovely purplish hue. Everyone’s houses’ looked so much darker, as if they had all been freshly painted, and the dusty vegetation was washed clean. I found some winter weeds that were ruby red, and I had no idea how vibrant and vivid they were. Stayed around home and kept warm and worked a bit on notes for an event this weekend.
It’s this Saturday, February 23, when Las Cruces Press Women Sponsors the Fiction Roundtable. There will be three novelists, Craig Holden, Bob Sanchez, and me. We’ll be answering another author, Bud Russo’s, questions about how fiction takes shape for each of us. Google all those guys and check them out. 1:30 at Good Samaritan Village, 3011 Buena Vida Circle, Las Cruces. And it’s FREE!
