A NEW DIRECTION –Blog #50
In August, Cicely (my wife of 65 years), and I celebrated my 92nd birthday at Lake Tahoe by considering whether to retire, or for me to continue writing more books in the next 92 years – or whatever fraction thereof remains.
Cicely is vital to what we do, so she can’t retire until I do. After publishing 60-plus books with sales in a few millions of copies, I’d like to keep writing books, but at a reduced pace for both of us.
However, besides providing more God-honoring, wholesome, exciting novels for young people, I also feel an obligation to help others who write for this group. We have a plan to do both by involving you blog readers. Without you, this concept will not work. It’ll take two blogs to explain, and then expand the blog to twice weekly. Here’s an overview.
My mission and this blog are to encourage young readers to enjoy reading and writing. These are the foundations for almost everything they will do later in life.
I have been asked for the names of family-friendly authors and titles of their books. I plan to compile such a roster with your help. Authors will be invited to promote their work here. Stay tuned.
