All good things...

I just finished Tesser: A Dragon Among Us.

58 chapters, plus a prologue and and epilogue.

Just about 109,000 words, a good, healthy sized book.

I am INCREDIBLY proud of this novel. I think it's my best book so far. AUD was awesome, is awesome, but in terms of a well written book, I think Tesser is a better piece of work.

Finishing this book also means that I've just completed writing my TENTH novel. Tenth. You have any idea how frigging weird that is to think about? Most folks struggle with the work required to churn out a college paper, but here I am, writing away like a mad hermit, unable to stop myself from putting the pictures and words in my head onto paper.

Luckily, lots of you are into the words I write, and it's fun to share my stories, so I'll keep at it.

What now you ask?

There are a few publishers interested in looking at Tesser. They get to look at the finished final manuscript first, then I'll decide what to do with it. Will there be more story set in Tesser's world? Absolutely. It's a big world with a LOT of potential. I plan on writing many more books in that world eventually.

With all my free time I plan on focusing on finishing book two of Elmoryn: The Motive for Massacre. I'm eight chapters in, which is a little less than halfway, and I'd like to hammer down and get that one done so I can publish it.

I also will be working on the future of AUD. I still need to finish editing four of the AUD novels and that means re-writing and re-working some of the things that were rushed at the end, right when my divorce was in full swing, and my mother died. I'll be adding more content, and now I have the time to do it right.

What a day. A good holiday, wrapping up a book, and so much excitement to continue writing.

Glad to have you all along for the ride.
