What is Wrong With Diets and Why Don’t They Work?

Diets are usually incomplete. There are thousands of diets all claiming to be the best. If they do not fit into the body’s natural cycles then it is incomplete. It usually deals with one aspect of losing weight that is abstaining from certain foods, eating only certain foods or liquids, or calorie watching. In addition, when you do this your physical body is usually deficient in nutrients and this affects your body. If you are deficient in nutrients, your body’s organs and systems cannot work properly. This results in your body demanding more of what is necessary to replace what was lost and have some for reserve. The reserve is what you do not need. We call it fat!

Another problem with dieting is that it is usually unnatural how fast the weight is lost or the methods used. Most diets may cause you to lose weight for a moment in time but you usually are deficient in another area because of ignoring total health. That is why you see someone who has lost weight and discover that other health issues are present. If you keep letting your gas in your car run low then eventually all the deposits in your gas tank will start to go through your engine and cause harm over time. This is the same with your body. If you lose the weight and do not eliminate the toxins and address the other health issues, you will end up with more health problems to overcome later on.

Dieting is not the key because it is not holistic. It does not address the emotional, spiritual, and mental bodies. If not addressed, then you will gain it right back with the “seesaw” effect. Your weight goes down and then it goes right back up. People do not understand why that happens but it is very simple holistically why that happens. Your body seeks balance so if you starve or limit yourself unnaturally, your body will have urges and impulses to put back what was missing before. You can go on a lemonade diet, but what happens when you get off the diet? You gain it right back and your body is usually deficient in nutrition, which leaves you with other issues. Today, even most experts in the field are saying diets and fads do not work.
