pseudonym's

I have read every blog post going it seems over the last few weeks and still cannot make up my mind. My first book Treacle Mountain is definitely adult as it contains some sex but a lot of swearing. But I have now swapped genre's and written a YA fantasy book. And everything pretty much says make up a pseudonym/ pen name.

While I would not want younger YA people to read my other book, till they are older. It just seems very odd while playing around with cover images to see a different name on the front - when I wrote it.

I suppose I might go for a variation on my middle name or something but it just seems strange to me. As they didn't write it :) Must be easier if you have a split personality.:D

F.W. Pinkerton In the end after much umming and arring, I decided to go with my own name as it just felt right.

Julie As a mother of teenagers, I understand why an author using a different name is good if YA is one of two or more genres in which they write. As a reader, I prefer to be able to easily find all books by an author I like. In my opinion, it is confusing to have to remember which two names go together. Good luck with your books!
