Introducing Sherrod's Legacy

I am a first time author, and I hope that my new book will be of interest to others. It started as a way to honor the memory of my grandfather. By the time I had finished the project, I learned much more about myself than I had expected. I hope that others will enjoy my story, and will find inspiration in it.

Debbie Hi Ron, As you know I recently finished the book as a new member of Goodreads. As one who has recently embarked on a journey of my own family history, finding myself wanting to explore more of the intertwining branches that bind us all together, I found your story both historicaly interesting and geographically similar. It is a touching read and when I think of it, the story of Fat Pap's jug remains fresh in my head! A nice archive for future generations of Sherrod's Legacy.

Cheryll hi Ron, my name is cheryll and I have been researching your family tree (john Hendricks mayes) when I ran across your book. the mayes family has a fascinating and rich history. I was very happy to see you had written a history that could be shared with my friend and her family.
I have run into a snag. it seems you self published and, after ordering your book, I was told I had to wait until copies were printed before receiving them.
my friends family is holding a family picnic and I was asked to give a presentation on the tree. your book would make that so much easier.
is there anywhere I can get copies of your book before October 1?
i am in Illinois just outside Chicago as are your distant cousins. please contact me.

thank you

Ron Mayes Hi Cheryll,

I appreciate your kind words.

On a couple of occasions, I have needed copies in a rush, and was able to get them at added cost.

However, I do have twelve copies at home, and I would be glad to send you some or all of those.

I would also be glad to share data with you as you wish. I live in Indianapolis, and it’s nice to know that I have gained some new cousins nearby.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

Ron Mayes
