If you see a new Blood Legacy cover, don’t get too excited, it is NOT the fifth book in the series. It is however, the way I always wanted “The House of Alexander” to look. I was never quite happy with the original cover, which actually, was not the original cover. The image I was working on was a beautiful render from a 3D model, however, I was having enormous difficulties with the color conversion from RGB to CYMK, and it never quite turned out the way I wanted. I ran out of time and went with a kind of thrown-together image that ended up on the cover.

So when the book was up for the 2nd printing, I decided to go back and give a stab at the original image. I don’t know if software got a lot better or I got a lot better, but I was able to solve the problems I had experienced nine years before in oh, about five minutes.

So I am at last happy with the visual appearance of this book. And since “The Story of Ryan” is also due for its next printing, I’m going to tweak that one as well. I’m going to stick with the Michael Turner artwork, but I’m going back to his original, including the brilliant color done by Peter Steigerwald. I’ll keep you posted…
