Deadly Sanctuary Movie

I am so excited to be traveling to California very soon to view the rough cut of the movie Deadly Sanctuary based on my first Kendall O'Dell Mystery.

Now we are still a long way to editing the final movie, but this will be my first chance to see all of the many hours of filming shot on site here in Arizona at Bumble Bee and Black Canyon City. Seeing the scene shot is one thing but seeing what the camera actually filmed is another.

I am so anxious to see how the story comes together on the screen. We were very careful to stay very close to the book. A couple of minor changes were necessary as it is hard to call up a monsoon storm when you are filming!

When I return I will share my impressions. I'm certain this will be a very emotional time as this has been in the works for so many years and is the realization of a big dream. Stay tuned!

I'm so happy for you! This is a very big deal and I am so excited to hear/read about it coming together!
It's a great story that I already pictured while reading the novel.
Don't leave us waiting too long for an update!

Sylvia Nobel Yes, it IS a big deal! I just returned today from sitting in the editing room at Kappa Studios in Burbank. In my continuing education in the film business, I found this step in post production to be interesting, yet very tedious. Hard decisions on which scenes to cut or shorten. It's quite a process. I will never view films the same again. Thank you everyone for all of your encouraging and lovely comments. I am working hard to produce a film all of my fans can be proud of!
