Settling In: Arizona

It's hard to believe we left Minnesota only two months ago. A lot has happened since then, a lot of changes that we're all getting used to. From living in near complete isolation in Northern Minnesota, to moving to a larger city near the Twin Cities, to living in an apartment complex in Arizona with heavy traffic and thousands of people, and the crowds...it's all an adjustment.

I've been focusing on writing. I'm joining the Valley of The Sun writers group, a local chapter of RWA (Romance Writers of America.) It's helped get me back into the business side of writing and marketing. It's awesome to meet other writers in person and not just online. To sit in a room with folks that have the same goal of publishing their work, and the abundant amount of energy that extends from that.

It's hard to write when I'm manage one crisis to the next, but things have calmed down and we're settling in, getting routines down and feeling more comfortable as a whole.

I've been swimming laps in the pool, despite the shoulder injury from last year, and working out in the gym. My health has been something that I've always wanted to get a handle upon and it feels amazing to be making some progress with that goal. Like everything else in life, it's slow going, but seeing progress helps with motivation.

I have several books in the work. I'm working on a horror story that all started with a creepy nightmare and the mailbox man. It's evolved from there and I'm pretty stoked about the premise. More to come on that later. It's kind of top secret. lol I'm probably going to try to go non-erotic with this piece. I feel like that will widen the audience and I want to share this story with all readers.

I'm working on book two of the vampire novel from the Sangre series. Book one was Seduced by Blood. Book two will be Braden's story. I had trouble reconnecting to it for a bit, but I'm working through that.

I'm still pecking away on a book about the death of my sister and the tragedy with the VA. It's extremely painful but I'm trying.

I just made Leather and Lace Available on Amazon Kindle as, Defending Lace.

I still have Body Candy, which I'd like to release for Valentine's Day, 2015. I do need to create a new cover for this release.

Also G Spot, though that needs a little bit of work and a new cover.

Not to mention, a few new ideas.

I'm trying to learn more about marketing and some inexpensive ways to get my work out there, besides FB and Twitter. And yes, I need to tweet much more often. I can never think of things to tweet that are short enough to tweet!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Taylor
