Thanks Danielle! I have been SO anxious waiting to see if the reversion was actually going to happen.
MERP!!!! hell yes. I started a blog. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'll do everything I can to get the voice out there. I'm so happy for you Eliza. Great news.

me and you both. I'm hoping Eliza will go for the print on demand route as well.
I'm so happy for you! Meda is wonderful and snarky (though the two aren't words you'd usually use in the same sentence) and deserves to have her moment.
I have a Cracked copy from bookdepository coming my way already. It's very exciting news, all this. Especially the part where we don't have to wait for forever to get our hands on Crushed. Aw yiss.
Thanks everyone!Re: print copies--I haven't looked into it much, but my general understanding that they're pretty easy to make, but prohibitively expensive--like $15 for a paperback. I'll take a look though and see if I can find a reasonable option.
@Brigid--I'll be in touch re: blog tour, thanks for the offer! I can use all the promo I can get.
Congrats!! I'll give a shout out when it comes out :D
$15 is the price of a cheap paperback in Aus... They go up to about $25... Or as much as $35 for trade size.
ANYTIME. You sure as hell deserve it
Congrats Eliza!!! I am so happy for you!!! Crushed was brilliant and it's great everyone will be able to get it this September ^_^
Big news indeed. :)I can't promise I'll be able to get the word out a lot (I move abroad on Sept. 23 and I suspect I'll be uber-busy in the days before), but I'll try to tell people, even if it's only after release date.
So glad to know book 2 is back on! Yay!! And I'd love to do a blog tour :)
Woohooo!! This is fantastic news!! So happy to hear Meda's back ready to rock and roll!I'll be awaiting the blog tour e-mail, will totally make a space for you and Meda!
Thanks everyone!@Yzabel--exciting!
@Figgy & Kit--alright, you've convinced me. Once I get this formatting figured out, I'll get started on a print :).
@Lola & Anid & Pili--thanks for volunteering! I'll be in touch soon to work out details.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!! This makes me sooooo happy!!!! Please keep us posted when it's available for Kindle and/or Nook!!
Oh, question: will you make it available on Smashwords, too? I'm asking because I can't gift anything to other people from Amazon, B&N or Kobo—looks like that option only works if you pay with a US card. -_-(Seriously, I've stopped counting the ebooks I wanted to offer friends, and couldn't, just because of that crap.)
Weird! I wonder why that is. In any case, yes, I'm planning to release it through both Smashwords and kindle. I've read some things that say there's a delay with Smashwords sometimes, so it might take a few extra days.
OK, great! :) I don't mind a few extra days, as long as the option's here. And yes, I've wondered too. I can't buy Kindle books on Amazon.com or B&N either, it really only works with US cards. (I once set a secondary account with a false CA address cobbled up just to be able to get $0.00 ebooks... It didn't work with my French account!)
Someone told me it was about "market rights" (the book can be legally sold in one country, yet not in another). Yet I find it odd that Amazon's willing to take my dirty French money for paper copies, oh how convenient. I don't understand anything to that stuff. Ebooks are supposed to be easy to get, and too often they're not. :(
@Yzabel--ha, I should have realized that, as I should know! I sold Cracked to both Penguin India and Strange Chemistry, but they both have different territories. As I understand it, typically an author (and their agent) prefers to sell as limited a territory as possible. This is because if you sell world-rights, the publisher then licenses their rights to other international publishers rather than your agent licensing them out. The advance tends to be higher if a publisher gets world rights, but it has a few negatives. For starters, if the author sells the rights to international publishers in different territories, then the author gets an advance for every territory they sell in--it's essentially a separate deal. If the publisher sells it, then its only an increase in the potential amount of royalties the author can earn--no advance. Secondly, the author's at the mercy of the publisher's interest in pushing her international rights--and the publishers have a lot of titles competing for their attention. My agent has a much smaller catalog and, generally, a much more personal stake in my success. Plus I can fire my agent--I'm stuck with my publisher! In my case, Strange Chemistry had world rights minus India, so it was available everywhere. Some authors though, may have only sold North American rights (for example) and are still working to find international publishers.
I have no idea why you can buy paper copies though. Do you have to put in a domestic shipping address?
Yeah, the world rights thing makes sense. I just don't understand why it seems to apply only to ebooks. The few tims I bought paper copies from Amazon.com, there was no problem. And when I order the same books (published in the USA, in the UK, etc.) through Amazon.fr, there's no problem either.
It's just so weird.
OHMYGOSH I'm so excited!!!!!! I can't wait until Sepetember 22! Does this mean Crushed will be available in all bookstores? (Like Barnes&Noble, ect.)
Adelynne wrote: "OHMYGOSH I'm so excited!!!!!! I can't wait until Sepetember 22! Does this mean Crushed will be available in all bookstores? (Like Barnes&Noble, ect.)"This is what I'm looking to know also :)
@Adelynne & Danielle, Unfortunately, I don't think a print copy will ever be available in a store :(. For what it's worth, I do think the major POD companies will distribute through the major retailers' websites. As in, Crushed wouldn't be in the physical store, but you could order a print copy through the B&N site. Crappy, I know, but without a publisher I won't have print distribution :-/.And Adelynne, I just saw you'd asked a question before (along with someone else--yikes!) and I'm sorry I didn't answer it sooner. Those questions show up really low on the author dashboard, and I didn't even see it. I only noticed it now because I got an notification about this comment so your name in the question section caught my eye!

It sucks that I won't be able to buy it at Barnes&Noble but I'm glad I can order it! :D Thank you for answering! (But for some reason Barnes&Noble says a copy is not available??)
Ah, they're talking about the SC version, which has a different ISBN. Hopefully once I release mine it will show up. It will be a few weeks after the e-release on the 22nd though, though, because I'll have to figure out platforms and formatting for a print edition.
If a print edition of Crushed will be available through the B&N site, do you think this means that it'll be possible to buy a print copy through Amazon even if I live in Europe? :)
@Emilie if it's on B&N it'll likely be on Bookdepository (or somewhere that ships worldwide, not that I've checked whether B&N do or not). But really, free worldwide shipping, Bookdepository are like my Holy Grail bookstore. They don't pay me to say that but they
B&N do ship internationally, but their shipping fees are insane! Much better to go through Amazon(who do have a UK store) or Book Depository. Not that I'm their biggest fan at the moment.
