Recognizing our Veterans and Fallen Heroes

Boyd Thomas London was very saddened, yet proud, to hear the story of Staff Sgt. Robert Miller.

In a special ceremony on Wednesday that mixed emotions and pride, President Barack Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to the young Army Green Beret who saved his patrol by holding off a Taliban ambush in a snowy Afghan valley two winters ago. Tragically, Staff Sgt Robert Miller was killed during the attack. He was 24 years old.

Boyd is an author who served four years in the Air Force. We have the finest military the world has ever known, and Staff Sgt. Robert Miller, Boyd and all of those who have served or who are serving in our nation’s military are prepared to give their lives for our country. Boyd expresses his condolences to Robert’s family.

Boyd spent four months in Saudi Arabia helping to support Operation Southern Watch, and he learned that he is very grateful to live in the United States. Boyd wants us to always pay tribute to Staff Sgt. Robert Miller and to everyone who serves our great nation in the United States Armed Forces. We need to recognize our veterans and fallen heroes.
