My newest rant is about the horror movie Annabelle . I have not seen this movie yet but I might because I love tormenting myself with silly horror movies. Please observe the doll above and take special notice of how profoundly ugly she is...this will be on the test :)

Okay first off let me say that I've been watching horror movies all my life. It's a sickness really and one I'm sort of proud of. For those of you who have read my books, you'll probably notice horror elements all over the place. I no doubt need a shrink but refuse to see one because there is nothing wrong with me. At least that's my story for today.

ANYWAY

I've seen some damn scary haunted dolls. Anyone for the Twilight Zone's Talking Tina? Not to mention the episode call "The Dummy". There was also "Chucky" and many others I'm not going to get into. So scary dolls and doll-like creations are nothing new.

But with this movie I feel like they aren't even trying. Who among us would tolerate this ugly thing in our house for one minute? Who wouldn't stuff it into the nearest trash can and drive it to the dump themselves? Who would put it in their child's nursery? No one in their right mind. This thing gives ugly dolls a bad name.

Now, like I said, I haven't seen this movie but it's likely they CAN'T get rid of the doll and then I say YAWN. Nothing is more boring than the predictable. It's been done. If that is not the case, this movie is silly because of the ICK factor of the doll. No one wants this doll. Trust me.

I think the movie would have been better served if the doll was pretty, not a huge (I'm guessing three feet tall) hulking demon -looking thing wearing a weird white dress. Just throwing that out there. Pretty dolls are more disarming.
