On Saturday, October 11, 2014 the Hampton Historical Society will once again prove that learning history can be a fun, enjoyable experience.
With a late 19th century theme of “Hustlers, Bustlers, Titans, Tramps, and Teetotalers,” the Tavernwalk will feature costumed historical figures of bygone Hampton along with Victorian-era fare at downtown taverns.100-year-old Marelli’s Market will have an old-time vendor’s cart with (what else?) nuts and candy.
All participants will take on the persona of a late 19th century Hampton person, so costumes are encouraged!
I'LL BE PLAYING DIME NOVELIST AMELIA HINGE, FAMOUS FOR HER SERIES OF ADVENTURE-ROMANCES FOR WORKING WOMEN, "THE HINGES OF HISTORY."
The cost is $15 and tickets will be available at all restaurant locations on the day of the event. This is a 21 and over event.
