It has been quite some time since I’ve had a chance to blog. And I have realized that in the world of business, absence DOES NOT make the heart grow fonder. My sales have dropped substantially since I have been on a social media hiatus. Thankfully, I have learned my lesson and will do better to keep a better eye on spreading a little news now and again.

As an Indie Author, I spend most of my time either writing, revising, plotting, or half-heartedly attempting to market. UGH, That horrible ‘M’ word. It is a necessary part of my business, but I honestly couldn’t loathe it more. I was born to write–that’s about it. I couldn’t sell a glass of water to construction worker in mid-July. That’s the sad truth. And frankly, taking time away from writing leaves me feeling unaccomplished at the end of the day. Publishing is not always peaches and cream. Sometimes you only get the cream–and at times you get the cream that’s gone slightly sour. With that being said, I still couldn’t love my job more.

I adore each and every email I receive with words of praise and acknowledgement for my hard work. The least I can do is give a little time to each of you to let you know how things are going around here.

So… things are going very well. My newest project, Disturbia, which is releasing on Amazon.com this coming Thursday, November 20th, 2014, was a big switch from what I am used to writing. It took a lot of thought and soul searching but I did it!! I have had a good deal of Pre-orders for it as well, which kept me going harder and working faster. I’m so excited about it!
