I've just got back from a two month stay in China as a visiting scholar at Beijing University of Foreign Studies. It was a great experience. Everyone made me very welcome. I spent a lot of my time translating pages from Historia Cultus Sinensium from Latin into English. They have a beautiful library with a copy of Lewis and Short. It's an old dictionary but still one of the best.
