Research on a new book

The Meiji period of Japan is among the most fascinating historical periods in the world. I'm working on a second novel in the period and researching the Kokuryukai (The Black Dragon Society) and find that they actually went as far as St. Louis, attempting to finance and foster black liberation organization. I don't know where I'm going to go with this yet, but what a fertile period. The secret societies of Japan were legion, and their history in China, in southeast asia, the near east and as I've found, in America as well, is largely untold.
