The bane of part time writers is distraction, and it seems to be unrelenting. Today I planned to write, and then came three crises. The computer modem was no longer functioning. The home owner's association had a question about my garage. One of my cars needed sudden repair. And so it goes. It is hard enough to have to face a mountain of revisions to the first draft of my next novel...a task that leads easily to procrastination. But always, it seems that there are so many other things to conspire against my story. There must be a reason for it. Could it be timing? I don't know. The winds may be contrary, but the voyage, nevertheless, continues.
