Interlude - Looking Ahead
Earlier this year, I started a separate blog for my darker, more horror-oriented stuff. The pieces I've posted there (The Visitor, The Jacket, Hellbreaker, The Shed, Confession, etc.) have been really popular, so I'm definitely going to keep writing that stuff. But very soon, I'm going to move everything to a single blog called "Jackson Cambridge, Author", or something. There will be a single blog, Twitter account, Facebook page and my online store where all the books and free stuff will be available. Here's a quick look at the next 12 months:
June 30 - Both the dark and sensuous work will be moved to jacksoncambridge.blogspot. com, and then both original blogs will be removed. The Twitter account will remain located at @jack_the_poet, but @jack_by_night will be collapsed. I want everything located in a single place for you, to make things as streamlined and pleasant as possible.
July 31 - The poems that were in either book will be removed from the website, and those remaining will be the longer pieces.
August 1 – the 2nd book will be complete, and once the quality has been approved, the mass order for presales will be placed. By August 15, all books will be signed and mailed.
Sept 1: The book’s official release date. Both books (as well as future releases and PDFs) will be available only through my online store.
Oct 1: "Hellbreaker" will be released in its entirety as a free PDF.
Nov 1: I will release a 150 page book entitled "Sonnets". It will include all of the sonnets from books 1 and 2, plus 50 new ones. At a reduced size (5x8) and price ($15 signed, $2.50 PDF), this would make a great gift for someone, or for you, if you really like sonnets.
Dec 1: "My Juliet" will be revised and released as a small softcover book in its entirety (at least 75 poems in total) with an author's note. It will be 5x8, ($15 signed, $2.50 PDF).
Jan 1: Both poetry collections, Sonnets, and 'My Juliet' will be available at reduced prices ($5 off), as well as bundled together for those who want everything, for $50. If signed/personalized, the price will be $60. The promotion will end on Jan 15 for personalized books, and Jan 31 for online orders.
