Cardiff Comic Con

Hi

I'm going to Comic Con - which was something I thought only ever happened in The Big Bang Theory. For anyone who happens to be in the Cardiff area, do drop by. I shall be signing books and chatting with anyone who doesn't have the energy to escape.

It's being held on 24th & 25th October 2015 at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.

At no little personal risk, I'm going to have a bash at adding the link below and if I crash the entire Goodreads system then I'm very sorry.

Hellvis Well, I have the Sunday off work, so I think it would be rude not to attend :)

Artwench Wish we could get you over here to Dragon Con in Atlanta, GA! Or wish I could go fly to Cardiff... Either way, sigh!

T4bsF (Call me Flo) I wish I'd seen this last year - I live in Cardiff and would love to have attended as I have some favours to ask.........
As you obviously have an intimate relationship with the guys at St. Mary's - would you please ask them to undertake some commissions for me....

1. If they would travel to Cardiff, November 1889 and persuade my Great-Great Grandparents to get themselves to the Registry Office and register my Grandmother's birth. Apparently they omitted to do this - so we don't have a formal birth certificate for her - only the information........... although on second thoughts - it wouldn't be wise to do this as everybody following this new entry would have to have their GRO Index Reference Number altered..... so perhaps they could be persuaded to make an entry in a family Bible and the St. Mary's team could nick it and put it somewhere I could "find" it!

2. If they could visit the French Battlefields of WW1- a place called Vendreuse, near the little town of Albert on the 25th September 1914 and find where my Grandfather fell when he was killed in action.

3. This 3rd commission is for a friend (who I recommended your books to and he is now as hooked as I am). We work together as Volunteers in our local Archives and I'm transcribing documents and letters from WW1 and he is documenting all the planning permissions from whenever to the present day (I believe they have reached the 1960's now) His big bugbear is staples..... millions of them right throughout the plans from then - a lot of them rusting now and spoiling the documents. If you could just travel back to Cardiff's planning office and ask them to remove all the old staples, before adding new ones - that would be fantastic!!!

Please don't tell me that St. Mary's is only fictional - as then we're both screwed!!
