This month has been AMAZING!  Here is the Reader’s Digest version of the last 30 days of my life…

SLComic Con

Had my first official signing

sitting next to award-winning author, Peggy Eddleman. Peggy is a good friend and I couldn’t think of a better person with whom to sign.

Also at Comic Con, I sat on a few panels, and moderated a panel with my old friend, James Dashner.

I even got a little crazy for my Hobbit panel. Ears and all.

Mysteries of Cove Book Launch

Not even a week following Comic Con, I participated in the craziest, book launch celebration of the century with mentor and friend, J. Scott Savage. I shared the stage with author all-stars Brandon Mull, Jennifer Nielsen, and James Dashner along with several other amazing author friends. It was a great night filled with sketch comedy, steampunk, a long signing, and over 1,500 people in the crowd.  (BTW, if you can’t spot me in the group pic, I’m the dork in the leather cap in the back row).

 

Provo City Library Book Launch

The actual book didn’t release until October 6th, the night of my Provo Launch Party in the massive Ballroom of the library.  I couldn’t believe how many friends, family, Teen Author Boot Campers, and people I’d never even met before came out to celebrate the Nameless release. My writers group gave me the best introduction of all time and so many people dressed up in full tribal attire to represent their clan. I have to give the kids in attendance HUGE props for their stellar costumes. They took tribal to a whole new level.

The King’s English Book Launch

This Salt Lake City event was a little more calm than my Provo bash, but it was SO wonderful to see old friends and meet new people. Before the event, I got to sit down with Bridget, a contributor with the popular Dark Faerie Tales blog, for a video interview. Here’s a link to her interview.

I also got to sign my first ever Nameless fan art by one of my past Teen Author Boot Campers. (Love these teens so stinking much)

“Teen Reads Week” with Sara B. Larson at American Leadership Academy

Throughout this whole crazy month, I’ve had some amazing reviews (including my very first Kirkus review!!!) and have met some wonderful people. I’m slowing down for a little while to finish writing book 3 in the Nameless series, but I will never forget this month and all of the people who supported me through this whirlwind experience.
