aradweb,The earthquake was sudden and there was not much time given for tsunami warning. Most low-lying areas were flooded and houses got carried away by the tides. Fishing boats got stuck at Sendai Airport runway. The nuclear power plant is worrying me, Once it is broken, the gas excreted by nuclear will kill people around it.
My place has some tsunami side-effects but not so great. As I write this, the tsunami warnings is cleared here.
Latest news, some 200-300 bodies are floating in paddy fields but the tides brought those bodies to the sea. Maybe it is quite impossible to find missing people now.
That's the latest update.
Kak Leyla, glad to hear the good news from you. Just happen to knew that you are at Okinawa right? So called the most southern island of Japan.Saw the blog of Chris Willson's-Travel 67 that have a pictures about Okinawa after the tsunami hit Northern Japan.
This is another link even-though the news might be a little late now, since there are new development.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-...
I wanted a name to show my location. Like S. Othman Kelantan, his name shows his location. So I take Shuri, this is the town where I live now. Also Shuri is a pun on the word "suri" short for surirumah. That's how I got my pen name.
