I know the feeling, Glenn. There are a few authors out there whose styles are really just not for me, though everyone else raves about them. One is a bestseller whose book I disliked so much, I didn't bother reviewing it. What works for one won't always work for another. I wonder if it is better to write to try and appeal to core readers of the genre, to have a broader appeal, or to appeal to personal tastes. Me? I just write the story how I think it should be told - so I guess I write for my tastes? Thanks for the kind words, and wishing you continued success with BLOOD AND RAIN, and all your other Samhain titles. You will definitely make my list of authors to read this year.
Thanks, Jason.Yeah, I write to the story and for me. I'm a huge King, Laymon, Little, Ketchum guy. I tend to swim around their styles and hopefully come out with something of my own.
But yeah, I would never chase a trend or try to sell to any specific "reader". You have to write the kind of story that YOU like. I always consider me my number one fan.
Just read your Scribbles. Lots more on the horizon for you! You have the new novel in March, just finished another one, and will have a novella done soon too. Very impressive!

I saw that you've become a big Barron fan. I can't get into him. Something about his style doesn't work for me. But that's the way it goes, right?
I wonder what my top books would have been if I included non-2015 titles??? I'll have to visit that.
Congrats on all of your success with SEEING EVIL. Keep up the great work.
