Mark, how can you even begin to answer or ask that question? Every person is allowed to be their definition of Spiritual. If not, then to be Spiritual is to be a 'Spiritualist' and a member of an indoctrinated Church. It is difficult to define something that has 10'000'000 followers and thus 10'000'000 points of view. The best definition I have ever managed to come up with To be 'Spiritual' is to believe that there is an overarching force to whom I can leave my concerns with, whilst I cook dinner.' That is my answer.

Carmel, Your definition is just as valid as any I shared. As I noted, spirituality "has different meanings to different people." I just wanted to mention a few that came to my mind, including one that is most important to me. But I also wanted to make the point, perhaps indirectly that people sometimes throw around the term without really thinking about the meaning (i.e. their meaning). If asked what spirituality means to them, what percentage of people could answer the question without hesitation?
