As I kick off my #blog (first ever!), I thought it appropriate to give a massive shout-out to all readers.

Publishing my first novel was such a roller-coaster ride, with ups, downs, some vomiting, but mostly exhilaration. And I will give more detail on my journey, challenges, my approach to writing, and my experiences in the posts to follow, but for now…I have to say, Readers Rock!

Without readers, writers would just be crazy people that live in their own worlds, documenting their insane thoughts… In other words, certifiable. However, we would still be doing it anyway… As Zenelda expressed in my book, #lostinchance

“Never be afraid to be afraid of what you’re afraid of, embrace the fear and release the crazy.”

Interacting with the amazing readers that took a chance on my book, I have discovered so much about myself and my writing, and being able to hear about the joy and connections they have made to their own lives and dreams, through my writing, is an unexplainable #magical feeling.

Isn’t that what writing is all about? Joy and Connecting?

As I start my next journey of completing my second book, I hope that the connection will be as powerful. And that the documentation of my insane thoughts will be welcomed with just as much #joy.
