Feedback from readers

I think like all writers it's great to have feedback from readers of your books. Not everyone likes writing a review as they possibly think you need special skills to do one.

This is not so, everyone who has read a book knows afterwards whether they enjoyed reading it or not and whether they could recommend the book to other readers. A review I think needs to let others know of this. If you then want to elaborate, then do so. What did you like about the book? Did you like the characters and if so which ones? Was there something about the book that you didn't like, if so what was it?

A review can be as long or as short as you want it to be. Believe me what you have written will be of interest to the author. I'm a new author whose first book was published at the end of November. Up to now I have two reviews on Amazon and one here on Goodreads.

I can't describe properly how it felt to read them. Firstly I felt humbled that someone had read my book and then taken the time to write a review. Secondly I was able to see what they'd thought about the book, which will help my writing. So thank you to those reviewers and yes, I too leave reviews for books I've read.
