Woot! Woot!

As the title suggests, my first blog is about getting started. That can mean different things to different people. For me, it means finally putting all the pieces of my life together, and make one fantastic quilt.
I wasn't supposed to be successful. I'm a product of a mixed marriage; then later, a child being raised by a single mother, in government housing. According to statistics, I was supposed to become what my environment dictated. My mother refused to allow us to prove that statistic true.
Fast forward (ahem) several years, and I'm educated, married, have three children, and I own a home. And I'm getting started.....finally.
It's never too late to get started. To start on a fresh page, whether it be in writing, or in life. Each accomplishment, each stumble, each new person that I meet, will be a part of my quilt. So, let's get started :)
