sooo excited!! the cover is beautiful 🥰
Haha love your humility 😂 I’ve just started reading today and I’m hooked! I’m almost certain I’m not sleeping tonight just so I can read it in one sitting 🥲
Congratulations! Looking forward to read this! I will tell you something funny. At a first glance I thought it is Shakira on the cover. 😍
This book. Was. Absolutely. Amazing. I have never read anything like it! This is hands down a 5+ star read! I enjoyed every second of it!
I loved this book. Devoured it in one sitting. It was creepy and weird and surprising. Thank you for writing it.
You wrote this. I read this. It will haunt me forever, in the best way possible. Hats off to you, what a spectacular ride you took me on...
Just finished this thing you wrote. Haunting and gorgeous. Definitely nightmare inducing, but have to agree with you, I also think it’s pretty good.
I loved this! Couldn’t put it down! But I really want to know, did they find him? Was he waiting? Would love for you to come back to this!!
So frustrating… I haven’t been able to find another book I enjoyed as much as this one. Please give us more!
I'm only about a quarter of the way through, but this has to be one of the most gorgeously-written books I've ever read.
It was a wonderful experience reading this book. Right after reading this, I was already craving for a sequel. I really hope that there'd be a sequel🤧
I really loved this book but I wouldn't recommend it for a middle school aged student. It is creepy.
I just finished it!! I didn’t think it had much nightmare material until I had to go to the bathroom at 3am and was very much creeped the hell out. Kept looking behind my back in the hallway.
Great book! I was hooked from beginning to end, loved the world-building and all the lote details.
IS THIS REALLY WHAT LITERATURE IS COMING TO? DARK, DISTURBING BOOKS WITH NO MEANING OR COMPELLING PROSE? Honestly, this book was so disturbing. I was a bit appalled by how dark the author's writing is, and honestly it's not really even elegantly or masterfully written. I was hoping to pick up this book and be entertained by its paranormally quirkness not disturbed by murdered, decomposing corpse children, icky lustfulness and people being skinned. Please do not read, as it was I skipped most of the middle section hoping it would get considerably better near the end only to find it was ten times worse. Seriously disturbed by the lack of interesting writting and content that leaves you wanting to puke and never read a book anything like this again.
I loved this dark disturbing world that you created and it merged a much loved older faerie tale into the modern age. Beautifully done and I think it should truly make people think how far would you go for the ones you love? 💜
FABULOUS book! And please tell me that when Tyler says he’s ridiculously good looking it’s a reference to Zoolander!
Please write many more! This is the most weirdly wonderful book I've read in ages & it reads like wildfire. I canceled all my plans on Saturday so that I could sit & read it in one sitting.
I adored this book and bought a copy for MY sister. The magic in the book was oblique enough to keep me guessing as it only vaguely resembles anything familiar, with lots of fresh eeriness. It was unsettling in the best way. Here is a world we inhabit and another that we can identify. Both are terrifying in their own ways and have their own dangers and pitfalls. I found myself identifying with all of the sisters and was able to see the story and feel the anxiousness (or lack of) through each of their eyes.
I think that people that are overly creeped out or unsatisfied are missing the point. The “other” world is unknowable and you cannot expect the “others” to operate with human morals or motives. It becomes interesting when the others and humans collide in an inextricable way, and what happens trying to find a balance.
I was immediately drawn in by the idea that someone had to solve the mystery of themselves and their most beloved family. When the clues are there but just out of reach. The choices made to find who you wish to be. The ideas about what love is, and what lengths we will go to in order to keep it, even at a terrible cost.
I would also LOVE a sequel/adjacent story from this world. Many of my favorite stories have villains you can fall in love with, and this book has one that is unforgettable.
Don’t know how this book ended up at my house. Don’t remember buying it….. couldn’t put it down once I picked it up though. I need to know who they were before!!!! If they were all three on the decision making!!!
PUH-LEASE tell me there's a sequel!!! I would love to know who they were prior to the revel as well. That twist blew my mind, and I may have shed a tear for Gabe.
