Angela wrote: "Is it possible to add friends who are not authors but are interested in reading and reviewing?"Hi Angela,
Of course! When joining Revvue, you can create two types of accounts: Author or Bookstagrammer/Avid Reader. Your friend can join as a Bookstagrammer/Avid Reader.
Perhaps move the Deep Book Anaylse out on it's own page instead of being on each book page.Where is is currently is confusing. Can I upload any book or only the book listed on the page?

Hi Bluesheedy,
That sounds like a good idea - there is a lot on the “My Book” page. We’ll definitely think this over. Thanks for the suggestion!
You can only upload your own book.

Sometimes I'll catch errors in a manuscript, bits of editing. I would like to provide feedback on them, but if I put that in my review, then it will show up if the author wants to use the review image option.
What about a second input text field for comments like these, meant to be useful for the author but which don't belong in a review?

Hi Kim,
This is also a great idea - we’ll need to think about how to implement it while avoiding direct communication between an author and their reviewer.

I think you misunderstood what I meant.
Because the Deep Book Anaylse appears on the my book page it gives the impression you can only upload the book listed on the page.
I was meaning can I upload an unpublished book I have written or must it be the one on the page.

I like the idea of private suggestions from reviewers. A similar setup (Get Books Reviewed) has that built inl
Since I haven't been able to find a search capability in Revvue, I wonder if a spreadsheet might work for some writers. I made a quick prototype on Google Sheets with an open link so anyone can enter to find out the right book & most important, the genre(s) Revvues organizes them into.I'll put the link on our FB account as well.

Is there a way to add BookBub in addition to Amazon and GoodReads? I would love to have more BookBub reviews as well.
Sheila wrote: "Is there a way to add BookBub in addition to Amazon and GoodReads? I would love to have more BookBub reviews as well."Hi Sheila,
Yes, we’ve received requests to add BookBub and Kobo reviews as well. We’re already discussing adding these features in one of the upcoming releases.
Hi Maggie, if you're considering adding BookBub and Kobo, maybe you might want to add Barnes and Noble too since it's a popular site for authors and readers alike.By the way, thanks for the opportunity with Revvue. It really does help.
Kind regards Emil

Hi Emil,
Thank you for your feedback! Yes, we can include Barnes & Noble as well.
We’ll need to understand how reviews work on Barnes & Noble and Kobo. For example:
There isn’t a $50 purchase requirement to post a review on these platforms, right?
Can someone leave a review without purchasing the book?
Are there verified and unverified reviews, similar to Amazon?
This information will help us build our review-assessment algorithms in the future.
There isn't any $50 purchase requirement on either Barnes and Noble or Kobo and you can leave reviews even if you haven't bought on their sites.Kobo does, however, have verified mark if purchased directly at their site.
I don't know about BookBub so can't speak for their system.
Kind regards Emil
Another feature that may be interesting is the possibility of reviewing audiobooks on audible, though I understand that will not be in the near future since your in development with other ideas for now.

It is possible to request an audio review! You can do this by selecting the PDF/EPUB/AUDIO review option. Recently, users asked us to explicitly show which type of review an author requested, so now you can see whether it’s a PDF/EPUB review or an AUDIO review.
One of the other users recently suggested that we add an additional redeem code that reviewers could use to listen to an audiobook on Audible for free. We might add this new promo field so authors can share it with reviewers.

I have lots of Audible codes and I'm having a hard time giving them away. I would love to give them away so that people don't have to pay.
Could we add a feature where we can give the author feedback on the grammar of the story? That way, we can help them make corrections to errors we spot along the way while reading through their story, and it will ultimately benefit them in fixing up their manuscript. I'm not exactly sure how you would install that feature, but maybe when submitting the review you leave, you could also list the page number and sentence of grammatical errors and typos you spotted so they can correct them instead of allowing it to sit there.

Please check our post in the General section and the Facebook group. Thank you for your feedback!

several other users have also requested this feature in the past. We’ll need to think about how to avoid direct communication between a reviewer and an author, since this is forbidden by Amazon (e.g., a reviewer might mention their email or offer services, etc.). I’ll pass your request on to our developers, and thanks for the feedback!

Grammar. I found in e-publishing when a mss is uploaded glitches slip in. so no matter if corrected its the upload transfer that causes this. Given the price differential and English is different to the US version and neither are consistent anyway that this obsession with spelling gets rather pedantic instead of reading for pleasure. I used to be an internet e-book publisher and my motto was: if its readable its publishable.
Maggie wrote: "Michael wrote: "Could we add a feature where we can give the author feedback on the grammar of the story? When an author examines the reviews of their book, this additional information shows up here, and only here.
Grammar. By the time we leave school we know how to express what we write about. Its the feel of how the words gel that's important. Not school rules that back then were necessary. Take musical notation. Scales and chords. Rhythm comes with the tune. Yet jazz is anything but. They did the practice and now they wreck the rules. So why not writers. Poets do. Anybody ought to if it is readable. Pedants are the last thing a writer needs. If it flows it grows as in develops of its own, meaning the writer's input volition.
Kim wrote: "Maggie wrote: "Michael wrote: "Could we add a feature where we can give the author feedback on the grammar of the story?
