My apologies for intruding in the conversation (I am very new to Goodreads, if this is poor etiquette I deeply apologize). This question is one I have posed across the Internet too. I can only share something I came across recently, and I haven't had the chance to check myself: there is a group here on Goodreads called "Goodreads Authors/Readers". The goal is specifically to connect authors and readers (beta, ARCs, but also editing and cover design), and it is divided by genres, including fantasy. I tried to find a way to share it but it seems I can't if we aren't friends. Sorry for my clumsiness. I hope it helps, and if you feel like connecting, I'd love to explore this group together. I am a hobby fantasy writer, also tending towards steampunk, and I hope one day I'll be able to publish too :)
