Tamara Beach It's so true! People are hopelessly addicted to their phones to the point that they're getting injured or walking out in traffic or off cliffs?! That's nobody's fault but their own. It's just those with their heads in the sand in denial who can't seem to see the situation clearly. Or, they don't want to admit it.

Belart Wright It's pretty easy to break the addiction though. You just have to want to do it. Then once you're out of the smart phone/social media loop, you start to feel like Neo from the Matrix. I internally chuckle now when I see people go to their phones during lulls in a conversation, right in the middle of a convo, or just every twenty minutes.

Noah Nichols It's the only thing mostly everyone is helplessly addicted to now. And the sad fact is that they all refute the seriousness of their addiction because of a maddening denial. Even alcoholics and druggies admit they have a problem when push comes to shove.

Belart Wright Yeah, that is the sad truth about it. It's normalized so people don't see it as a big problem. The silver lining is that most people I know do see it as a problem, just not one they're willing to address at the moment.

Justin Bauer I'm depressed am aware of it. Internet addiction gives me the chemical change I need without ingesting deadly chemicals. Personality flaws>physical risk. (Part Devil's advocate... part honest admission.)

Noah Nichols Don't worry, Justin. You'll be able to live a life without that hypnotizing screen pressed up to your face one day. I believe in you more than we (as a people) believe in the associated press.
