actually, I asked Lili Zander and she says it wasn't just Indian caste society...it was a combo of things. Sometimes it's difficult to parse out where these ideas come from. Our creative brains are less like excel spreadsheets and more like gumbo. :D
Well, mine's more like gumbo. Lili tends to be the more organized of the two of us.
