[close] A place to discuss all the unique aspects of Deaf culture as highlighted in the thriller Silent Fear (A novel inspired by true crimes) by Lance & James Morcan. This group can also be an intersection of sorts where Deaf and hearing people can engage and learn from each other.

[close] This is the discussion group for our library's summer reading program. The topic is banned and challenged books - fiction and non-fiction - for teens and young adult readers. We hope this will be a space for teen readers to talk freely about controversial books. Share your favorites, make friends, and add to the discussion! We want to hear what you have to say.

Coming from a country that isn't too keen on candidness and the complete freedom of expression has allowed us to finally ask the question: Should books be banned? Every month we would engage in the reading of a book that has been banned by a government, library, association, or group in recent history and in current times. Reading books challenged or banned by society strengthens and opens up the mind. The books that society bans reflects greatly on society's flaws. So get a head first on your intellect and oppress censorship!
