[close] In our increasingly connected world, we are better able to open up and listen to each other’s stories. This ability is critically important as we move forward as a global society. In this book club we will be reading books that look at various social justice issues, from anti-racism to the fat activist movement, from queer and trans issues to poverty, these stories are all interconnected and make us who we are as a world.

[close] Health and well-being is more than just exercising. It is about taking a holistic approach to self-care that feeds body, mind, and soul. To that end, Empower Yoga and Wellness seeks to create a community that welcomes people of all shapes and sizes, no matter where they are on their personal path. We heal and grow through our relationships with others. This is a place for people to read and discuss the ideas and thoughts that inspire and empower us.

[close] The Windsor-Essex Fat babe Squad is a community group in Windsor, Ontario that focuses on providing a supportive and inclusive environment for it's fat citizens, as well as increasing fat visibility and giving back to the community. This group will feature body and fat positive non-fiction and novels as well as discussions about the content of the books and it's impact on the Fat Acceptance movement. Though this group s very female-focused, we welcome fat men as well! If you are a fat man and want to become involved with the book club, please let me know!
