Currently Reading:

We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy - Yes, Non-Fiction. Trying to get back into NF again. Its always immersive, interesting and comforting. I say comforting, because i'm learning something new or getting more in depth with something I already knew.

Midnight Mass - So far, this is nothing like the show. The vamps have tiers and have taken over a significant portion of the U.S. Sounds about right....

I'm still thinking about Orbital Cloud. I need to just stop overthinking it, and just plow thru!

On the Nightstand:

An Overdose of Death
Killadelphia, Vol. 2: Burn Baby Burn
Battle Ground
Record of a Spaceborn Few
Set in Darkness
The Secret Place

You're so welcome! The challenge is hard, because we're asking readers to stick to a plan. Reading is finicky and many times based on mood. It is really hard sticking to the list, when there are millions of books out there.

Sorry it ended on a sour note though. I hate when trilogies or a series doesn't end well.

All Our Wrong Todays by Elan Mastai

3.5 Stars

I hated the MC; Tom/John/Victor? (🙄) The science jargon and multiverse/past/time travel story was very interesting; but Tom? No. I don't find the "charm" that gets mentioned, as something that should be attributed to a literal "f*c* boy"... sorry, not sorry. No matter how flawed he tries to make other characters in order to make Tom look like a great guy; it's not working. This is one of those times where I should have read reviews before reading. IMHO, the mc is selfish. He uses his so called ignorance to mold the world how he wants it. Just ugh.

Like I stated before; the time travel and science in the novel was interesting and pretty easy to follow. I am no science/time travel expert; so, if any of the things mentioned are inaccurate, then don't blame me.

I would like to state that my review should not dissuade anyone else from reading this novel. Apparently its great.

1176148 I really enjoyed The First Law trilogy from Joe Abercrombie, and have this new on my tbr ready and waiting. I don't think I have any grimdark on my lists this year. Only on my series.

1176148 Great update, Bill

Glad you are still enjoying Murderbot. I think book 5 is the full length novel (or is it 4), and its not as good. I think she needs to leave the formula alone and keep these as novellas. It was still enjoyable though.

The Screwtape Letters is actually pretty good. Gave it 4 stars. I love a good classic.

Enjoyed both of these classics. A very different time and both books bring about tough discussions. I managed to grab copies off kindle which were divvied up into smaller books for some reason. It made it more digestible for me.

I've read it twice; both times as a teen. Not sure if I have the time to delve back into it after all of these years. Glad you enjoyed it.

I've been reading some of the shorts of this on kindle, and enjoy them; but they do not have the spark of the Silo series.
