I finished possibly my last for the challenge
Has been on my tbr since 2017 and was a lovely read.
I've started another from 2017 for my closet challenge I just don't know if I will finish it in time for this
19/20 completed
TBR since 2017. Loved this sequel even if it was hard to remember who was who and what was going on from book 1 :o Beautiful cover and binding too
A master of epic historical fiction, Edward Rutherford gives us a sweeping novel of London, a glorious pageant spanning two thousand years. He brings this vibrant city's long and noble history alive through his saga of ever-shifting fortunes, fates, and intrigues of a half-dozen families, from the age of Julius Caesar to the twentieth century. Generation after generation, these families embody the passion, struggle, wealth, and verve of the greatest city in the Old World.

Thanks! I need to think about this too
Sad day in Sydney today. I don't live near Bondi, but it has still affected so many of us. One of our team does live there and was at dinner at a restaurant last night when they were told to go and hide in the kitchen. So hard to imagine the fear and confusion.
It took 6 weeks, but I finished! My goodness that was one big and convoluted book. Luckily I love the characters and her writing.

Sorting by year added to my TBR

I have 21. I need to do a pre-cull before deciding what I am keeping and what I want to read

That's why we did it as our Weighty Tome in 2024 and we managed to finish the series! https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Way of Kings is very different. I love all of Sanderson's stuff, but the YA books are very different. Way of Kings is classic high fantasy
GR is driving me nuts this morning. I can’t mark a book as read on the desktop and in the app it tells me I can’t use a read date in the future 😤Hopefully I have managed to at least mark it as read and will change the date later once the US time catches up with me if I need to

I hope it is sorted soon and yes I agree that being grateful for what we take for granted is important too.
It was 41c here yesterday and I was very grateful for living somewhere with consistent electricity!
