To celebrate the release of the sequel Sail Chains, Sailing Clear will be free on Kindle
From Saturday 19th June Midnight Pacific through to Monday 21st
Sailing Clear
Missing girls, missing money, missing man, luxury motor yachts and the people chasing them.
An old MI6 undercover mission to prevent terrorists entering the UK via sex trafficking routes went wrong. The undercover agent is assigned to a new role.
A man lost in the shadows manages the hidden finances of the security services but dreams of a better life sailing the Mediterranean. When he runs off he is hunted, but he may have been killed by an organised crime leader. The police are assigned to find him.
Two sisters run away to Greece from the sexual abuse of their father.
The characters intersect as the hunt commences. Then the security services need to find options to deal with the fallout.
The undercover agent now in her new planning role is assigned to trace the missing financier, but a corrupt cop may give them all away
Smashwords formatting, their copyright insistence and their sometimes banning of other links (e.g. back catalogue) are all a pain. For me it has not been worth the effort.
Part Two of the Observer Series will launch on 30th January on Kindle - It is available for pre-order now
The continuing story of Cathy Rodriguez - a Senior Observer in the Interplanetary Geographic Service.
Cathy is recalled from her Observer duties as she is asked to establish first contact with a new life form. Meanwhile the Conspiracy to prevent humans changing their non-Intervention policy continues to try and kill her. Together with Marta De Jaste, a Senior Investigator, and Tony Briggs her former jailer and security officer, they travel to the chosen planet.
On the planet Tullymeade, Karloon Niesta, a disgraced scientific observer, detects a strange anomaly. A discovery that will change his planet forever.
In deep space two groups of survivors try and recover from their battle in orbit above the planet Freevur

There are just too many books competing to get enough attention. The books ranking is climbing but a long way short of getting onto a top 100 list on Amazon where other readers might join in.
Of course the lack of reviews does not help, but I doubt I will keep the book in KDP Select

I have set the same euro price regardless of euro location and accepted that that will mean variable royalty income - not that I have many sales outside UK and USA.

Belinda wrote: "Jennifer wrote: "I am trying to avoid places like createspace and lulu. I mainly want to avoid them because they put their logos on the books they print. Personally I have stopped producing physical editions for my latest two books. It is a lot of effort for little return
Sales! People have sales!Seriously, I am trying to wean myself off of checking every couple of days. What was my ranking again?
KDP Select requires exclusivity KDP does not. Amazon will still try and price match against other outlets and they do monitor KDP Select exclusivity and remove you from the programme if they find the ebook for sale elsewhere. A physical book can be available as this is not restricted. Some publishers also have exclusivity for physical books in some physical or online outlets just like film or music releases. As with KDP Select the period is limited, and for Amazon the period automatically renews unless you deselect it.
I'm with Ubiquitous on this one, use a blog to tell your readers what you think - a review is supposed to be just that. I have used my Amazon profile which on the US site allows discussion from the author as do other sites.

Hi Mike,
I think it is the search and genre setting. Something I need to reconsider. Yes the cover isn't working how I expected, the paperback (on lulu) has a more colourful cover but when I get time and maybe some more finances sorted I may re-issue. Thanks for the links to cover artists as well.
I too am not sure the free downloads get read. They are grabbed on promotion and put aside. I have done this although I am working through my back log. I am trying to review everything I read at the moment - short reviews but at least something.I am trying a countdown deal right nw and it has had little impact, but the book hasn't sold without it either so nothing to lose.
