Scratch my earlier comment, just remembered the Cowan-Darcy scene honouring Colin F's wet shirt. Also Elliot Cowan for me. π

Also, how does one choose between Mr. Rhys and whoever ..."
Yes to B & P and Death comes to Pemberley.
Elliot Cowan was Darcy in the Mini series Lost in Austen, which may be your cuppa, Jenny. (?) π
And Daniel V G was from the web series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, also worth watching (imo, anyways).

Same .... and then also watch the 1980s one.
Jenny wrote: "Hard to see Colin Firth go, but he lost to a worthy opponent. Sigh."
Indeed. We are sad, but not utterly devastated. π
And Sammy's just shaking some more pretties out of her sleeve. π
And the WINNER OF DARCIES ROUND 1 is ....by one vote (although Claire's comment is a bit ambiguous, but we concede it to be in favour of Matthew, because Sammy and I are nothing if not fair and generous π€π )

Matthew Macfadyen: 5
Colin Firth: 4

Yess, thank you Sammy! π

Judith wrote: "Can we just start on these? I didn't see a start date in the rules. For the bonuses, did you want to double dip or use new books for those?"
Hi Judith, Lexi! π
Any books you started since 16 Dec is fair game.

Hope you'll enjoy it! :)
Ashley wrote: "the context is irrelevant for the words in text, right? It can be, say a vocal coach, vs a stage coach...."Indeed, context does not matter. :)
Ashley, does your book, Scrappy Little Nobody work for any of the bonus tasks?
(we can use 1 book to cover a regular + 1 bonus task :)
Sammy wrote: "Awesome. I was planning on doing that one after the book I just started.I take it it will fit lots of tasks? π"
Could be, could be ....π€
I started on Jane Austen at Home (have the updated kindle version as well) and it's as excellent as can be expected from Lucy Worsley. Like you, Sammy, I loved her Agatha C. bio. π
I may buy her book Queen Victoria: Twenty-Four Days That Changed Her Life with 1 of my current audible credits.
