J.M. Coetzee
J.M. Coetzee is a South African writer who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2003. He earned undergraduate degrees in English and mathematics from the University of Cape Town and later a PhD. in English, linguistics and Germanic languages from the University of Texas at Austin. His doctoral dissertation was on the early works of Samuel Beckett.
