Towards Understanding The Muslim World
The aim of this group is to read and discuss books, as well as documentaries/films, related to the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa, and Muslims in general. There is a great need to learn about and understand Islam, Muslims, and the history of the Islamic world as a whole. Understanding can foster cooperation and ultimately peace. This is not a group that will tolerate hateful, racist commentary, but welcomes honest, thoughtful diologue. Peace.
