Der Schwerpunkt dieser Gruppe liegt auf dem gemeinsamen Lesen von Büchern in Leserunden. Jedes Mitglied kann hierfür Bücher vorschlagen. Einmal im Monat wird eine Leserunde zu einem Buch durchgeführt, welches mittels Abstimmung gewählt wird. Ferner bieten wir eine Vielzahl von Challenges, Lesemarathons und LiteraTouren an.

We're here because we like reading and we like chatting about reading. But we are here especially because we strongly believe that reading is not just

In terms of group reads we have a monthly fiction book and a bi-monthly group read of a classic. We feature dedicated sections for non-fiction, poetry, short stories and drama. We also have weekly poetry postings (the Monday Poem). Quarterly there is a group discussion of non-fiction books in which members are encouraged to read books that relate to a specific theme and another theme for short stories.
We feature a yearly challenge which varies from year to year in form. In addition, we have a section for people to post their yearly personal challenges and books read during the year.

- we have finally developed a taste for reading and are severely behind on classics;
- we kindaaa, sortaaa, but actually slept through English class in high school and used Sparknotes/Hollywood remakes to write our book reports;
- we buy a book that everyone is talking about and it sits on our shelf, and sits there... and sits there;
- we've heard the hype and are finally getting around to reading the actual book;
- we want to expand our horizons beyond the single genre we usually read and want to do so with some time-tested material;
- we just plain old want to get everyone off our backs for not having read _____.
Every month we'll choose three books to read:
1) a classic (that everyone has probably read but us),
2) a "modern" classic or popular book that everyone is talking about, and

I'm Coach Dr. Ann Hester, a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, CNN-featured health expert, and author of Lifestyle Medicine: A Scientifically Proven Path to Prevent, Treat, or Reverse Chronic Disease and Patient Empowerment 101.
I created this group because there are extraordinary health books being published—and great ideas become even more powerful when we discover, discuss, and put them into action together.
