'Me Before You', 'Flowers for Algernon', 'Of Mice and Men', and most everything else written by an able author about disabled people is eugenicist trash, so don't even try.
Mental illness counts as a disability.
Cr*pple is a slur, so if you're not actually one, don't use the word.

You continue to WOW me. It's incredible that they're able to write (many of them, such as Octavia Butler,) quite profusely. What an inspiration! I don't know how they do it.:)

Thanks for this list! I've added a book by Traci Harding - I chose her most recent stand alone one but she's got a number of trilogies. Here's a link to an interview where she mentioned dyslexia: Traci Harding - interview
I'm unsure about John Irving - his book A Prayer for Owen Meany is currently on the list. He's not on the spreadsheet and I can't find anything relevant after a (brief) search. I wonder if it's been added because a character in the book is disabled rather than the author?

I added books by:Leigh Bardugo - Osteonecrosis
Lizzie Huxley-Jones - Autism, Non-Epileptic Seizures, EDS, Endometriosis
Elle McNicoll - Autism, Dyspraxia
Xiran Jay Zhao - ADHD
