That's funny. His ghostwriters got paid, at least.

I love these comedy lists. That's a keeper, right there.
Maru wrote: "Before everyone gets too excited at the thought that Trump has actually read any books on this list they should know that the list originated in some PR from a Chinese publisher and there is no rea..."That is nonsense. The first book on this list is BANNED in China. It totally takes down the Communist regime. It is 800 pages with detailed references and describes how evil Mao was. I read it soon after it came out in 2005, and it indeed is a must-read book to understand modern China. Xinhua in fact took down the list soon afterwards (in 2011) because of this book being so offensive to them.
President Trump is our best educated President about China. He started taking them on early in his first year, recognizing how they are stealing billions of dollars of intellectual property each year, and were using very unfair trade practices against us. It is fortunate that he is President now given the problems China is causing.

Also, President Trump did not hand a list to the person who was interviewing him for Xinhua (the Chinese government news agency). She asked him to name some books about China that he had read, and he named them on the spot. No Chinese publisher could have possibly given the list, given that "Mao: The Unknown Story" was banned in China from the day it was published. Anybody familiar with the book knows it is a very harsh criticism of Mao and his deadly regime. So the comment by Maru is definitely false.
