Projekt 1065 is ineligible because it was published in 2016.

Welcome: A Mo Willems Guide for New Arrivals is a picture book for babies. While picture books are eligible, I think the criteria is that it's for readers age 8 and up.

"Children are defined as persons of ages up to and including fourteen, and books for this entire age range are to be considered."
You can read all the terms and criteria here: http://www.ala.org/alsc/awardsgrants/...
I love Goldfish Boy, but the Newbery is "restricted to authors who are citizens or residents of the United States." Lisa Thompson is British and lives in Suffolk.

Natasha wrote: "I would love to Slider by Hautman on the list." You can add it yourself. Just go to Add Books to List at the top right.
Mr. Prince wrote: "Projekt 1065 is ineligible because it was published in 2016."same with A Crack In the Sea
I added Crack in the Sea back in through my list but folks might have to delete and re-add to their list to gets its correct position back. Not sure how that works exactly.
A Crack in the Sea's 1st and 2nd editions on GoodReads are listed with release dates of Oct 4, 2016. It could be this was the international release date, or it could be that this was the projected release date that was later postponed and never fixed on GoodReads. Can anyone confirm for sure that A Crack in the Sea was not released internationally before the Jan 3, 2017 US release date? (It is rare for a well-read book to not have it's predicted release date changed to actual release after over a year and thus the confusion.)
