Breaking Brown is a political program created by political commentator and co-founder of the ADOS (American Descendant of Slaves) movement, Yvette Carnell. Breaking Brown espouses on the political events of today while giving a political education with Reparations for Slavery, Jim Crow, Redlining, and the Drug War to ADOS as the end goal.

Breaking Brown comes on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Rosa On tonight's show (10-24-2018), Yvette mentioned the book, "Reconstruction Updated Edition: America's Unfinished Revolution, 1863-1877 (Harper Perennial Modern Classics)" by Eric Foner. She also mentioned that she has finally gotten "Barracoon" by Zora Neale Hurston.

On the Wednesday, January 24, 2019 entitled, "Rev. Al Sharpton Is Ready to be Kingmaker for 2020 Elections" show, one caller mentioned the following book, "The American Slave Coast: A History of the Slave-Breeding Industry Paperback" by Ned Sublette.

And another caller recommended, "The End of Work: The Decline of the Global Labor Force and the Dawn of the Post-Market Era Paperback" by Jeremy Rifkin.

On the February 20 show's "Diversity or Justice: Pick One. No Fence Straddling," Yvette mentioned Ona Judge who was enslaved by First Lady President Martha Washington.

While she did not reference the below book, I've read it and if you are interested in Ona Judge's story, the below book is a good reference:

"Never Caught: The Washingtons' Relentless Pursuit of Their Runaway Slave Ona Judge" by Erica Armstrong Dunbar.
