Listopia > YA science fiction by marginalized authors
YA science fiction books by diverse / marginalized / minority authors! The topic can be anything, it doesn't need to be ownvoices.
This list is specifically for science fiction, because there seem to be a lot fewer science fiction books by minority authors than fantasy... at least I have a much harder time finding them. Please don't add purely fantasy books, but books with mixed SF and F elements are totally fine. (I love fantasy, this is not a value judgment. :) ) Anthologies and short story collections which are mixed science fiction and fantasy are also to be included.
Any marginalization counts - ethnic and/or racial minorities, including people of color, Indigenous / Native people, non-Western people, non-native speakers of English (writing both in English or being published in translation to English), migrants, members of non-Christian religions; gender, sexual and sex minority people; disabled and chronically ill people; etc.
I would like this to be a relatively comprehensive list, so add everything that comes to your mind if it's missing even if you did not necessarily like it. :) Thank you!
Indie, self-pub, small press is totally OK too, those titles can be especially hard to find. If you would like to add yourself but GR doesn't let you, comment and I'll try to put your works on the list.
Enjoy listovating :)
