ok, i have to admit, all of these covers are either crappy, creepy, just plain ugly or all of these combined. Great job!

I actually like the book Phantom (TVD) but the cover really ruins it. Wish I could substitute something nicer for one of my favorites*sigh*
Quite of few of these are actually gorgeous covers. Granted, most are terrible, but I'm wondering if books weren't added simply because they are disliked.
Why is the 'Gone' book cover up here? That's one of my all time favourites!
a lot of these are great books and should not be just judged by thier cover. and some of them are amazing covers ,so :P
I like the cover for The Vampire diaries: Phantom, cuz it's got a girl looking like Meredith, and Bloodlines has a nice cover as well. I Am Number Four is not ugly at all. I prefer the Atom cover of House of Night: Burned. The Vampire Diaries: Moonsong fits on that list.
Actually, the Daughter of Smoke and Bone cover looks beautiful in real life. The mask is almost this luminous blue that shines and is covered with this thin clear layer of plastic that gives it a smooth, glossy touch. The real book is pretty huge so the impact is almost overwhelming:)
I disagree with quite a few of these. Brave New World, The Kid Table, Shrimp, Smack, The Chosen One, Please Ignore Vera Dietz, Angel Star, Beautiful Disaster, Tripping the Velvet, I Am Number Four, What We Keep Is Not Always What Will Stay, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Glow, Love and Leftovers, The Giver, How the Light Gets In, Notes on a Scandal, This is What I Did, Stargirl, Winter's End, The Clearing and Lies Beneath are all wonderful covers. I've only read 4 of those too so I'm not just being biased. I also love Harry Potter but I agree that the covers aren't the most interesting. (No offense meant towards the illustrator as the art is wonderful, I just find that I like the books better when I take off the sleeves and stow them away).
I disagree with: - Divergent cover - beautiful design,
- Briggs (Alpha & Omega) - it's very fitting and nice!
- Murgia (Angel Star),
- Delany (13 to) - beautiful,
- Pittacus Lore ones - good design,
- Ryan (Glow),
- Cassandra Clare.

Stargirl's cover is great, too! That shouldn't be on here!
I think some of these covers actually look cool. For example, the Giver had an interesting cover as soon as I saw it, I wanted to read it. I read it a couple of times during middle school and I loved it.
It comes down to personal taste. However, some people don't know how to follow instructions, and some people like to annoy list-owners by deliberately disobeying the instructions. Go figure. It's not rocket science and you'd think they had better things to do with their time eh?
what is wrong with you people?? alot of these covers are really great and sometimes totally beautiful! :0
I disagree with most of these books, especially the nightshade covers are awesome. Plus, half these books could be awesome, and their covers could suck. So I think people shouldn't hate on book covers.
In my opinion, the "Momentum" cover is beautiful, "The Old Man and the Sea" is fine ("1984"'s one is also fine), "Stargirl" is cute, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" looks decent and "The Godfather" cover is just a classic (but not very appealing).
