WARNING! The below books are so bad that I feel it is my duty to give you a fair warning!
Please vote and feel free to add any works of Historical Fiction that you consider stunningly atrocious to the point of being Abominations of historical fiction.
So do your good deed for the day by warning future readers of these heinous reads so that they won't waste precious time and money.
Feel free to add any thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
I will allow some non-fiction books if I consider them to be abominations as well.

Are books 4 and 7 the same? I’m not familiar with any of them so I probably shouldn’t vote, but thanks.

So busy with Dutch Harbor memoir, and then a death in the family. Life goes on, and am back in Alaska, but no time to read and vote. So sorry!

Diane Lynn wrote: "Are books 4 and 7 the same? I’m not familiar with any of them so I probably shouldn’t vote, but thanks."Oops! I forgot that I don't know how to remove books from my lists! Hopefully some kind soul will help me out with this one.
Chris wrote: "Guns Germs and Steel is non-fiction."After trying to read this I thought it was more fiction than NF, but I get your drift :D
Two different books by the much over-rated E. L. Doctorow on this list and I couldn't be more pleased.
Guns Germs and Steel is a scholarly work of non-fiction. Whether one agrees with it or not, it ought to be removed from the list.
Also removing David Halberstam's The Coldest Winter: America and the Korean War, as that is also non-fiction.
Dear Chris and Susanna,Rest easy! I have added a disclaimer above stating I will allow some non-fiction books as well that I also consider to be abominations of fiction.
In the future, please contact me first before removing any books from this list.
Thank you for you help and cooperation :D
