Anyone may add books to this list, but please keep it to likely contenders (who knows, right?!), or at least to fiction published in English in the USA between December 2017 and December 2018.

And as Tina already put a ton of work into adding a bunch of books and then deleting them because I am picky and wanted this list to be different than the other lists going, can voters PLEASE only vote for books they have READ and want to endorse? I know there are many books that everyone is looking forward to.... but this list can be a 'proof in the reading' sort of thing. Thanks Tina!
You're welcome! FWIW, I approve of your "pickiness," and if everyone follows your request, we will curate a useful list.

Great list! I've added several of this year's that I've read and loved. Tess of the Road is YA, so I'm not sure it belongs here. It won't hurt my feelings if you have to remove it (or any other of my picks).

YA is welcome. Thanks for your additions to the list!

What is The Brave Art of Motherhood: Fight Fear, Gain Confidence, and Find Yourself Again doing on this list? It's non-fiction and yet it has 23 people who thinks it not only should be included, but that it's a worthy Tournament entry. What am I missing here?

A few weeks ago, when it had two votes, I messaged those people, explained why it is not eligible for the ToB, and asked them to remove their votes. Instead, they got friends to vote for it. I'm guessing they are friends of the author.
EDIT: That book is at the top of several lists where it does not belong. I just sent a help request to GR reporting the deceptive promotion and asking them to remove it from our list.

GR Expert, Carmen, removed The Brave Art of Motherhood from our list as I requested. At least two other books are being promoted via our list, The Baghdad Clocks and Crowd of One. However, since they fit the criteria for inclusion, we are stuck with them.
